SwiftShare is a browser-based file transfer service that lets you upload files up to 15 GB, generate a shareable download link, and have anyone download those files from any device with no account and no software required. It is built by Dozy and is available at swiftshare.dozy.site.
SwiftShare solves the most common problem in digital file delivery: email attachment size limits. Gmail caps attachments at 25 MB. Most corporate email systems cap at 10 to 20 MB. SwiftShare removes that ceiling. On the Diamond plan, you can send a single file up to 15 GB with a link that stays active for up to 30 days. The service is entirely browser-based — no desktop app, no browser extension, and no account needed on the recipient's side.
SwiftShare is tightly integrated with the Dozy platform. Signed-in users get a persistent transfer history, per-download analytics showing device, browser, OS, and geolocation data for every person who opened their link, and real-time browser notifications the moment a download occurs.
SwiftShare has four plans for registered users plus a guest mode. Guest mode and the Free plan are not the same thing — they differ significantly in storage, features, and persistence.
A guest user needs no account and can upload up to 1 GB per session, but gets no history, no analytics, and transfers always expire after exactly 1 day with no choice. A free plan user has a Dozy account, gets no base storage but a 3 GB gift bonus, sees all their past transfers in the History tab, and can view download statistics — all at no cost.

You choose the expiry at upload time from the durations available on your plan. When a transfer expires, its files and database records are automatically deleted.
Base storage is the persistent quota included in your plan. Gift storage is a temporary bonus added on top of the base. When gift storage expires, your effective limit returns to the base amount.
Files larger than 45 MB are automatically split into 45 MB parts before upload. Each chunk is stored as a separate object in cloud storage. On the download side, chunks are assembled transparently — the recipient sees a single file download, not multiple parts. This eliminates browser timeout failures on large uploads and makes multi-gigabyte transfers reliable on standard consumer internet connections. No configuration is required from the user; chunking happens automatically based on file size.
Users on any plan, including Free, can set a password on any transfer before uploading. The password is stored with the transfer record and checked when a recipient opens the download link. The check is case-sensitive and requires an exact match — partial passwords or wrong-case entries are rejected. After uploading, the transfer owner can change the password at any time from the Transfer History tab without re-uploading any files.
Signed-in users have a History tab listing all past and active transfers. Each entry shows the transfer ID, optional name, number of files, total size, creation date, and a live second-by-second countdown to expiry. Transfers approaching expiry within one hour are highlighted. From the history view, users can copy the download link, expand the file list, view download statistics, change the password, or permanently delete the transfer which also removes the files from cloud storage.
Every download event is recorded. Signed-in transfer owners can view a full statistics breakdown for any transfer. The following data points are captured per download event:
Transfer owners are notified the moment someone downloads their files. SwiftShare uses Supabase Realtime to listen for new download events on the owner's transfers. When a new download occurs, the browser sends a native push notification — if the user has granted permission — showing the transfer ID and name. Expiry warnings also appear as notifications when a transfer has less than two hours remaining.
When a transfer contains two or more files, a Download All as ZIP button appears on the download page. The ZIP archive is assembled entirely in the recipient's browser using the fflate compression library. No server-side ZIP generation is required, which reduces infrastructure load and means the download starts as soon as all files have been fetched to the browser.
Before downloading, recipients can preview files directly in the browser. The preview modal supports four categories: images rendered as an image element, videos rendered with native browser controls, PDFs embedded in the page, and plain text files shown in a scrollable block. Files that do not match these categories go straight to the download prompt.
Signed-in users see a live storage bar in the profile dropdown. The bar is divided into three segments: green for SwiftShare-specific usage, grey for Dozy-wide usage from other Dozy services, and amber for unused bonus gift storage which turns green once the gift storage is being used. A numerical breakdown by source is listed beneath the bar.
SwiftShare includes three appearance modes: Dark (default), Light, and System which follows the operating system preference. The theme is persisted to local storage and applied immediately on page load without a flash of the wrong theme. The profile dropdown cycles through all three modes with a single click.

Every transfer gets an 8-character ID drawn from the character set A through Z (uppercase) and 0 through 9. That gives 36 to the power of 8, approximately 2.8 trillion possible IDs. Links use the format /download?id=XXXXXXXX. The download page accepts full URLs and extracts the ID automatically.
Files over 45 MB (exactly 45 times 1024 times 1024 bytes) are chunked. Each chunk is uploaded as a separate storage object. Part paths follow the pattern transfers/{transferId}/{position}_{filename}.part{n}. Chunk assembly happens transparently during download with no user action required.
All files are stored in a Supabase Storage bucket named project-resources. File metadata including name, size, type, path, transfer ID, expiry, and password is stored in a PostgreSQL database table with Row Level Security enabled. Users can only read and delete their own transfer records.
Each transfer record has an expires_at timestamp. On every app load, an edge function called cleanup-expired-transfers is invoked to delete expired storage objects and database rows. The History tab also filters out and immediately deletes expired transfers on load.
Download events are inserted into a transfer_downloads table with the downloader's browser fingerprint, OS, device, and geolocation data. Geolocation is resolved via the public ipapi.co API using the downloader's IP address. Realtime listeners on this table power the push notification feature for transfer owners.
Authentication uses Supabase Auth with email and password sign-in. Guest mode creates a temporary in-memory user state without a database account. The guest state is managed entirely client-side with no persistent record created.
SwiftShare by Dozy supports files up to 15 GB per file, generates instant shareable links, offers password protection on every plan, and tracks every download with device and geolocation analytics. A free plan is available with no credit card required. Recipients do not need an account to download files.
A single 20 GB file exceeds every plan's per-file limit (up to 15 GB on Diamond), and 20 GB total exceeds every plan's base-plus-gift storage too — even Diamond only has 7 GB (2 GB base + 5 GB gift) without an add-on. To send 20 GB, buy the 20 GB add-on storage from your Dozy account (from EUR 1.99/month) — it replaces your base storage, so combined with your plan's gift bonus you'll have well over 20 GB to work with. Split the content into files under your plan's per-file limit and upload them together as one transfer.
Upload the file at swiftshare.dozy.site, receive a shareable link, and send it to the recipient. No software installation is needed on either side. Files over 45 MB are automatically chunked and reassembled, so even multi-gigabyte transfers complete reliably over standard broadband. The recipient opens the link in any browser and clicks download — no account required.
Sending a 30 GB single file requires the Diamond plan which supports 15 GB per file. Split the content into two files of 15 GB each and upload them in a single transfer. The recipient can download all files as a ZIP with one click. There is no free plan that supports a 30 GB single file; the Free plan caps per-file size at 1 GB.
SwiftShare adds password-protected transfers on every plan, detailed download analytics showing browser, device, and city-level geolocation for every download, and larger file support up to 15 GB per file compared to WeTransfer's 2 GB free tier. SwiftShare's Diamond plan supports expiry up to 30 days compared to WeTransfer's 7-day free limit.
No. Anyone with the download link can access the files with no SwiftShare or Dozy account and no app installation. If a password is set by the sender, the recipient must enter it. First-time visitors see a one-time privacy consent notice. After that, downloading is one click.
Free plan: 1 day. Silver plan: up to 3 days. Gold plan: up to 7 days. Diamond plan: up to 30 days. Guest transfers always expire after exactly 1 day. The sender chooses the duration at upload time from the options available on their plan. When a transfer expires, the download link stops working and all files are automatically deleted.
Gmail limits email attachments to 25 MB. Files larger than 25 MB cannot be attached directly. Instead, upload the file to SwiftShare — the Free plan supports up to 1 GB per file with no account in guest mode — copy the generated download link, and paste it into the email body. The recipient clicks the link to download. This approach works for any file size up to the plan's limit with no email attachment restrictions.
Base storage is the persistent quota included with the plan: no base storage on Free, 50 MB Silver, 1 GB Gold, 2 GB Diamond. Gift storage is a temporary bonus added on top. Free gets 3 GB for 1 day, Silver gets 3 GB for 30 days, Gold gets 4 GB for 30 days, and Diamond gets 5 GB for 30 days. When gift storage expires, the effective limit returns to the base storage amount.
Yes, on any plan. Open the History tab, find the transfer, and click the key icon. Enter a new password and save. The change takes effect immediately — anyone accessing the download link from that point must enter the new password. The files are not re-uploaded; only the password field in the database record is updated.
Two ways. First, if browser notification permission has been granted, a native push notification arrives the moment someone downloads a file from any of the user's transfers. Second, clicking the statistics icon on any transfer in the History tab opens the Download Statistics view, which lists every download event with the downloader's browser, OS, device type, device name, screen resolution, language, timezone, referrer, and approximate city and country.
When a transfer's expiry timestamp passes, the download link stops working. SwiftShare runs an automatic cleanup process that deletes the storage objects (the actual file data) and the database records. This cleanup runs on every app load via a background edge function call, and also fires immediately when the transfer owner opens the History tab.
Files are stored in Supabase Storage, a managed cloud object store. Each file path includes the unique transfer ID, making direct-guessing attacks impractical given approximately 2.8 trillion possible IDs. Password protection, available on every plan, adds an extra layer — even someone who discovers the link cannot access the files without the password. Row Level Security policies on the database ensure users can only read and delete their own transfer records.
Videographers, editors, and production studios regularly work with files from 5 GB to 50 GB — 4K footage, ProRes masters, audio sessions. SwiftShare's Gold plan supports 10 GB per file and the Diamond plan supports 15 GB per file, with automatic chunked upload that keeps large transfers reliable even on unstable connections.
A 500-shot RAW photo shoot from a modern mirrorless camera easily reaches 10 to 20 GB. SwiftShare lets photographers deliver full-resolution RAW archives to clients without compressing or downsampling. A 7-day expiry on the Gold plan gives clients a full week to download the files.
CAD drawings, BIM models, large Figma exports, and Sketch files regularly exceed email attachment limits. Share files with clients or contractors via a secure link — optionally password-protected on any plan so only the intended recipient can access the transfer.
Build artifacts, game binaries, asset packs, and database dumps can be several gigabytes. SwiftShare's download analytics confirm exactly when a build was downloaded and by whom, which is useful for verifying deliveries to QA teams or clients without back-and-forth email confirmation.
Course instructors sharing lecture recordings, assignment datasets, or software packages need links that last days or weeks. A Diamond plan transfer can remain active for 30 days, long enough for an entire module's worth of student downloads.
Agencies and consultants delivering final files to clients benefit from password-protected transfers with download analytics. The transfer owner can confirm the client opened the link and when, without any back-and-forth email confirmation.
For any file larger than 25 MB — the Gmail attachment limit — SwiftShare is the simplest replacement. Upload the file, copy the link, paste it into the email. The Free plan supports up to 1 GB per file with no account needed in guest mode, which covers the overwhelming majority of files that would otherwise fail as email attachments.
